Following its official launch on 1 November 2025, the SPARC (Support of Personalised Medicine Approaches in Cancer) project will hold its Kick-off Meeting in Madrid on 20–21 November 2025. This meeting marks the formal start of a three-year collaboration aimed at advancing equitable and sustainable personalised cancer medicine across Europe.
Representatives from 17 partner organisations across 8 EU countries will convene to align on SPARC's objectives, strategic work plans, and planned pilot activities. The two-day meeting will provide an opportunity for all partners to establish a shared vision and operational framework for the duration of the project (2025–2028).
The meeting will officially initiate SPARC's mission to:
These efforts contribute directly to the broader EU agenda, including Europe's Beating Cancer Plan, the EU Health Data Space, and the upcoming Joint Action on Personalised Medicine. By bridging clinical innovation, digital tools, and policy development, SPARC aims to deliver meaningful impact for patients across Europe.
